Johannesburg

What each profile covers
- Recorded crime: SAPS quarterly figures for the suburb's police precinct, with five like-for-like quarters of history (2022 to 2026). Precinct figures are shared across suburbs and every page says so.
- Schools: counts, no-fee shares, learner-educator ratios, and quintile mixes from the Department of Basic Education EMIS masterlist (Gauteng, Q3 2025).
- Amenities: community-mapped facilities across 15 dimensions (healthcare, education, retail, green space, and more) from OpenStreetMap.
- Minibus taxi access: facility locations and destinations from the CSIR Gauteng taxi facility survey (2024).
Johannesburg profiles do not yet carry a StreetSignal safety index. Publishing one requires population-weighted disaggregation that is still in progress; until it clears the same verification bar as Cape Town's, the profiles show precinct figures rather than a composite score.
